Creating a Life of Meaning

  I have been a dreamer my whole life. I still have big dreams even though I lack the confidence to think I can achieve them. However, there are some aspects of my personality that helped me reach some of my goals. Perseverance, faith, clear objectives, writing my goals down every year, tenacity, and a kind of OCD which never allows me to rest till the work is done. It does not mean that I had not to break some walls along the path or take some time to rest and to redirect my course. It means that, no matter what occurs in my life, I have my dreams clear and do not abandon them. Though some of them could change as we get older and mature, others remain fixed and are our stars in our lives. First of all, I always wanted to get a degree. I grow up in a very difficult context, being neglected by my parents, in charge of my siblings, doing everything by myself. The Beginning of my Entrepreneurial Path

  Since many years ago I have been trying to discover my mission on this life. I have made lists of my gifts and talents, my passions, my hobbies, and my interests; however, if you ask me what my calling is, I still do not know. I am a TEFL teacher for primary school students, but it was not something I consciously decided to do. I wanted to become a chemistry high school teacher and I enrolled to pursue this career, but life had something else in store for me. My youngest child was six months old and started to have health issues, which led me to drop my courses off. I tried other degree options but having four children and attending school was not a good idea at the time. However, there was something I could do: to study English at home. A friend of mine saw me depressed and demotivated because I had to postpone my academic goals and offered to teach me English in my house.
